  • Once a candidate's visit has concluded, the search committee should inform candidates of the proposed timeline for filing the position as well as provide candidate with next steps in the process.

  • Gather evaluations from anyone who had some part in the interview process

  •  Unsuccessful applicants should be notified as soon as soon as the decision has been made that the applicant would no longer be considered for the position.  These decisions may happen at any stage during the search process.  Detailed explanation of why an applicant was not selected are neither required nor recommended. 

  • Search completion

    • Meet with the entire search committee to discuss strengths and weaknesses and fit in detail, and determine if follow on interviews needed.

    • Document the interview

    • Agree on whether to list candidates ranked or unranked
